Overview
Responsible for implementing and managing the Site Specific Quality Management Plan to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Serves as the Company liaison on quality matters with external parties and ensures construction work is non-deficient and constructible. Works with Superintendents and Corporate QA Manager to address project concerns and maintain documentation and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and implement the Site Specific Quality Management Plan for compliance with Contract requirements.
- Act as the Company liaison with parties outside the company on matters relating to quality.
- Prevent the construction of deficient work or the building on deficient work.
- Maintain open and direct communication with the Corporate QA Manager for any and all project concerns.
- Ensure Construction Documents are complete, code-compliant and constructible.
- Review Submittals for Contract compliance.
- Review Coordination Model and Shop Drawings for contract compliance and constructability.
- Review schedule documents and participate in development; ensure scheduled activities contribute to a quality finished product.
- Manage the release, receipt, handling, and storage of material and equipment to meet contract requirements.
- Perform daily quality audits of ongoing and completed installations for contract compliance and proper installation locations.
- Assist Project Superintendent with Weekly QC Meetings and Reports to guarantee compliance with Quality Manual and Policy & Procedure Manual.
- Assist Project Superintendent with Definable Features of Work Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up and Final inspections.
- Manage Testing and Inspections and maintain the Testing Schedule to ensure contract compliance.
- Maintain Rework & Nonconformance Items, Reports and Logs; assist in expedient closure and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage Punchlist and Work to Complete Processes.
- Manage Document Control to ensure Construction Documents are maintained and stored.
- Manage Close-out Documentation collection and storage.
- Manage As-built Documentation to ensure required Record Documentation is recorded and stored.
- Manage Equipment Maintenance Log to ensure contract and Manufacturer\'s requirements are fulfilled.
- Assist the Project Superintendent in maintaining craft certifications including Welder Qualifications / Continuity and Brazer Continuity.
- Ensure Employees have the proper training to perform the work.
- Assist, and ensure, Subcontractors are in compliance with the Quality Control Management Plan.
- Oversee start-up, TAB and commissioning of equipment and systems.
Qualifications
Must have experience working for a mechanical / plumbing contractor.Experience implementing site-wide QC plans and working with Superintendents on development of work plans, prep meetings, inspections, testing, and documentation.Experience with document control.Certifications
OSHA 30-hour required prior to start date (company will provide the online course at no cost to employee).Seniorities & Employment
