Overview
Engineering Technician – On-Site (Oklahoma City, OK). Travel up to 70% may be required and may include emergency call outs for corrective maintenance. Work at heights and with specialized equipment may be required. The contractor shall provide troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation services for designated equipment at the request of FAALC Product Divisions or Groups, and ensure electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment meets serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements in compliance with FAA and FAALC standards, orders, technical instructions, and quality procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, tear-down, repair, refurbishment, overhaul, assembly, testing, and installation services for designated equipment.
- Provide engineering technician services to ensure equipment meets serviceability, reliability, and availability requirements.
- Assemble, repair, refurbish equipment, components, test fixtures, and prototypes; perform equipment performance analyses and data collection and reporting; install equipment and modifications.
- Complete tasks in accordance with applicable FAA and FAALC standards, orders, technical instructions, and quality procedures.
- Install electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems, subsystems, components, test fixtures, modifications, and engineering prototypes; perform adjustment, testing, and certification as required.
- Prepare and manage documentation and data (including time entries in DCRS) and communicate task status to crew leads and management.
- Support tower-related maintenance activities, including safe operation at heights, corrosion control, and use of appropriate safety procedures.
- Assist junior technicians, participate in training, and support project package reviews and program status briefs.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers and travel as required for project execution.
Qualifications
An associate degree in electrical or engineering technology and completion of formal technical training courses is required for level III.Physical fitness evaluation is required due to safety and operational requirements (minimum 125 lbs, maximum 290 lbs).Practical experience in an engineering technician support position, including developing, reviewing, updating engineering documentation and processes, and troubleshooting, repairing, assembling, testing, and installing electrical and mechanical systems.Ability to obtain NACI / Public Trust clearance; valid drivers license; two forms of unexpired identification (e.g., REAL ID-compliant ID, passport, etc.).Estimated monthly travel : 70%.Desired Qualifications
Rope repelling / on-rope work at heights; specialized knowledge of FAA systems, equipment, procedures, and operations; experience with tower, radome, and cab glass components; installation and maintenance of electronic and mechanical systems.Experience operating equipment such as boom lifts and motorized forklifts; ability to work at heights; completion of trip reports.#J-18808-Ljbffr
