Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Job Opportunity : Registered Nurse – Critical Care (Direct Hire) Address : 500 W Romeo B Garrett Ave., Peoria, IL 61605 Department : DMCC - High Acuity Unit ️ Position Details : Type : Direct Hire Openings : 3 positions (Two 3rd shift & One 1st shift) 1 PRN shift (24 hours / week) Shift : Varied (including 3rd shift with $4 / hr differential, weekend $3.25 / hr differential) Assignment Length : 36 months Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours / week Salary Range : $32.61 - $49.28 / hr (based on years of licensure) Sign-on Bonus : $15K for new grads; $20K for 1 years experience Relocation Bonus : None Position Requirements : Current RN licensure in Illinois (preferred) or Michigan ACLS & BLS certification required Minimum 1 year ICU experience preferred (new grads considered case-by-case) Drug-free campus : Negative drug screen required Flexibility to float to Med Surg unit Essential Job Functions : Conduct timely patient assessments and develop / update nursing care plans Manage patient care, including restraints, documentation, and use of biomedical equipment Administer medications safely per ICU protocols Respond promptly to patient changes (cardiac events, respiratory distress, etc.) Assist with special procedures (thoracentesis, bronchoscopy, arterial line care) Supervise and evaluate nursing staff; participate in staff orientation and evaluations Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow hospital policies About First Connect Health At First Connect Health , we take pride in being a Joint Commission–certified healthcare staffing agency , headquartered in Newark, New Jersey.
