Overview

Job Title : Video Network Engineer

Location : Orlando, FL

Status : Full Time / Exempt

Department : Network and IP Services

Reports To : Director of Network and IP Services

Responsibilities

• Network Design & Implementation : Design and configure network architectures to support high-definition video streams across a variety of platforms (live events, on-demand, OTT services, etc.).
• Video Transport Protocols : Ensure the network supports low-latency, high-quality video delivery.
• Video Over IP : Build and maintain systems that support video over IP.
• Network Optimization : Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the network for video performance, ensuring minimal packet loss, latency, and jitter.
• Troubleshooting & Support : Provide advanced technical support for video network issues, conducting root cause analysis and resolution of video-related network problems.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams (content delivery, engineering, operations, etc.) to ensure smooth video deployment and streaming.
• Security & Compliance : Implement and maintain security protocols to protect video content and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate network design documentation and provide regular performance and issue reports to management and stakeholders.
• Testing & Quality Assurance : Perform regular testing of video network systems and infrastructure to ensure they meet industry standards and internal quality requirements.
