Operations Specialist

The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of manufacturing operations within the durable goods sector. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operational activities, identifying areas for process improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and quality. The specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to manage workflows, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with industry standards. A key outcome of this role is to support the organization's operational goals by maintaining high standards of accuracy, organization, and communication. Ultimately, the Operations Specialist contributes to the company's success by driving operational excellence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in durable goods.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and process documentation tools.
  • Experience with training program development and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience working with credit unions or financial institutions in an operational capacity.
  • Advanced knowledge of mitigation strategies and risk management in manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Additional certifications in operations management or process improvement.
  • Experience working in or near Elk Point, SD, or familiarity with regional manufacturing practices.

  • Manage and monitor daily manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Develop, document, and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures to support operational consistency.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs to enhance team capabilities and ensure compliance with operational protocols.
  • Utilize data analysis and reporting tools, including PowerPoint, to communicate operational performance and improvement opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and maintain smooth workflow.
  • Collaborate with credit union partners and internal teams to manage financial and operational transactions related to manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a highly organized approach to multitasking across various operational projects and initiatives.
