Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Duration : 15 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel VMS ID : 56807511 Specialty : Med Surg / Swing Bed RN Location : Acute Care Facility Shift & Schedule : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM) Float to ER as needed Every 3rd weekend (Fri / Sat / Sun) required Holiday rotation based on assigned weekend schedule 36 guaranteed hours / week 15-week contract Unit Information : Med Surg / Swing Bed unit Up to 12 beds (average census 3–6, may rise to 10 during COVID surges) Nurse-to-patient ratio : 1 : 4–5, with team nursing (floor RN charge RN working closely) Swing bed patients common; typically 1–2 higher-acuity patients per shift Charge Nurse : Present and collaborative Patient Population / Responsibilities : General med surg and swing bed patients Must be proficient in reading & interpreting EKG strips Occasional ER float coverage as needed Requirements : Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS (all required) BSN : Not required Active RN license in state of assignment Technology / Systems : EMR : Meditech 6.1 Other Details : Scrub Color : Navy blue (no fleece allowed, but outerwear like North Face shell jackets acceptable) Job ID 17166169 About Genie Healthcare Genie Healthcare is one of the fastest growing Nurse Travel Agencies in the USA.
