Controls Engineer- Austin, MN
Position Overview
We are a large industry leading manufacturer seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical controls, PLC programming, and automation technologies, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of our machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency and machine reliability.
- Implement machine vision systems for quality control and process monitoring.
- Conduct system testing, validation, and performance tuning.
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel on control systems.
- Maintain documentation for control systems, including schematics and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.Proven experience as a Controls Engineer or similar role in an industrial setting.Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and modifying electrical schematics.Experience with Rockwell automation systems is highly desirable.CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) certification a plus.Strong understanding of PLC programming and HMI design.Knowledge of electrical controls and machine vision technologies.Experience with PAC, multi-axis, and servo motion control systems.Benefits
