Overview
The Legal Aid Society's Civil Practice seeks an experienced lawyer with a strong commitment to public interest leadership, practice, and policy. This Attorney-in-Charge of Civil Citywide Units will join a dedicated team across all five boroughs representing NYC residents in areas including Economic Equities Project (Community Development Unit, Consumer Law Unit, Predatory Lending and Foreclosure Project, and Tax Law Unit), Education Law Practice, Employment Law Unit, Government Benefits & Disability Advocacy Project, Family Law / DV Unit, and Health Law Unit. The Attorney-in-Charge will coordinate and support these units and supervise their Directors. They report to the Attorney-in-Charge of the Civil Practice and are responsible for the smooth operation of Citywide Units, oversight of unit grants, and providing legal and organizational leadership. The role includes Practice-wide management participation and maintaining relationships with legal, court, service communities, and funders.

Salary and Benefits
The salary range is a good faith estimate; actual salary varies by knowledge, skills, experience, and union salary steps. Salary Range : $182,000.
