Carthage Hardware, a family-owned business serving our community for nearly 150 years, is seeking a skilled and versatile tradesperson to join our growing team. We're looking for a professional who holds licenses any of the following tades, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC to help us continue delivering exceptional service to homeowners and businesses throughout the Carthage area.

About Us

Located at 1103 E Java Rd in Carthage, MO, we're more than just a hardware store. We're a full-service contractor providing everything from small repairs to complete construction projects. Our team takes pride in serving our neighbors with quality workmanship, fair pricing, and reliable service within a 25-mile radius of Carthage.

Position Overview

We need a multi-skilled professional who can handle diverse projects across plumbing, electrical, and HVAC services. You'll work on residential and commercial projects ranging from quick repairs to full installations, with the support of our experienced team and well-stocked hardware store.

Required Qualifications

Valid Missouri Licensed Plumber certification
Valid Missouri Licensed Electrician certification
HVAC certification (EPA certification required)
Proven experience in all three trades
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass background check

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in residential and commercial work

Experience with permit applications and building code compliance

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Responsibilities

Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance (faucets, fixtures, piping, water heaters, etc.)

Complete electrical work including installations, repairs, and troubleshooting

Conduct HVAC installations, routine maintenance, seasonal check-ups, and repairs

Diagnose issues and provide accurate estimates to customers

Work on projects ranging from small repairs to full construction

Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide excellent service

Assist with obtaining necessary building permits

Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
