Job Title : Electrical Project Manager

Pay Range : $65,000 - $95,000 (salary)

Job Location : Wilmington, NC

Reports To : Director of Construction

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate information and ensure timely material ordering to meet the project schedule and support field operations.
  • Ensure all permits and plan reviews are coordinated in a timely manner.
  • Order appropriate quantity and type of material to meet the project schedule and daily workflow.
  • Attend project meetings as required.
  • Coordinate subcontractors; Fire Alarm vendors, public and private utility locators, underground boring are examples of subs that must be coordinated and scheduled.
  • Ensure field supervisor and job foreman are aware of any specialized equipment needs.
  • Record all direct charges to the job.
  • Track, record and provide all change orders to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Correspond and communicate with field personnel, GC, subcontractors and internal staff to ensure the job needs are met.
  • Coordinate periodic meetings with field supervisor / job foreman to review project status.
  • Assist field supervisor with setting benchmark objectives towards completion of the job.
  • Ensure project benchmarks are achieved and the job schedule is maintained.
  • Coordinate distribution of appropriate documentation at time of job close out.
  • Encourage an environment of open communications and a culture of safety.

Qualifications

This position requires experience working in a fast-paced office setting with coordinating multiple tasks and functions. Experience with trade inspections, dealing with various jurisdictions and inspectors and establishing permits are beneficial. A background using the Microsoft Office suite and navigating proprietary software programs is expected. While formal education is not required, an AAS or BA in Project Management, Business, Management or a related field would be beneficial. Trade-related certifications are also beneficial in completing job responsibilities.

Physical requirements : The position may require sitting, bending, stooping and lifting items up to 50 pounds. The role may also involve climbing, crawling and squatting as the job demands.
