Mankato Clinic is looking for a Registered Nurse who will care for patients with compassion, empathy and respect to ensure our clinics are a welcoming and healing place. The RN is responsible for providing direct and indirect nursing care for breast health patients utilizing knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices and ethics. They will act as a liaison between patient, medical staff and others involved in treatment to expedite communication regarding patient plan of care and coordination of further services. Performs follow up scheduling and provides patient education regarding breast health as appropriate.
Establishes individual nursing care plans. Provides education, counseling, and general breast health information to patient and patient representatives. Evaluates and documents status and follows patient progress with phone calls through test results. They will keep up-to-date on technology advances for breast health and standards of practice for Diagnosis of Breast Disease. Assists with other types of imaging-guided procedures in the department. Acts as an RN resource for the Diagnostic Imaging Department as needed for other modalities.
Education and Experience
Formal training which will be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited RN school of nursing; current MN state RN licensure; current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment; experience in clinic-based nursing; dedication to patient satisfaction; ability to communicate effectively; and ability to work compatibly with providers and other staff members. Experience in women's health, oncology, surgery and / or breast imaging preferred but not required.
Employment is contingent on drug screening, health assessment and background check.
Benefits & Compensation :
Base Pay Range : $30.40-$45.60, initial pay based on relevant work experience.
