Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Manager

Job Description : Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening for a Laboratory Manager to run our geotechnical and construction materials testing lab in our Phoenix, Arizona office. The successful candidate will be required to be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standard test methods for all tests performed by a lab including those performed by asphalt, concrete and soils technician. Duties also include, supervision and mentorship of the laboratory staff, maintaining proper and complete laboratory data, lab certification and maintenance, maintain / purchase equipment, responsible for budget control, work flow and clear communications with the Project Manager regarding all aspects of the laboratory operations including providing of neat and orderly project documentations.

Required Skills : The successful candidate should have soil, asphalt & concrete testing experience or equivalent. Professional registrations or certifications and 5+ years of experience preferred. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have a current valid driver’s license.

Required Certifications : ACI certifications as follows : Concrete Strength Testing Technician, Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I, Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1, Aggregate Base Testing Technician, Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 2, and Masonry Laboratory Testing Technician; Should also have ATTI certifications : Asphalt, and Soils / Aggregate.
