Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Inpatient - PRN Days\n\n_Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together \n\nWork location : Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway Frisco, TX 75033\n\nWork hours : PRN Days (varied hours) as needed weekend and holiday requirements\n\nDepartment highlights : \n

  • 16-bed Surgical unit - fast paced, quick turnover\n
  • Experience with tele, surgical preferred - primary surgical unit and take med / surg overflow\n\n1 : 4 patient ratio, at times 1 : 5\n\nHere's What You Need\n
  • Nursing Diploma\n
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program\n
  • BSN preferred\n
  • One-year experience as a registered nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.\n
  • One year of post - surgical experience strongly preferred\n
  • BCLS - upon hire - expiration date greater than 3 months preferred\n\nWhat You Will Do\n\nDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process\n
  • Assesses the patient\n
  • Plans the care of the patient\n
  • Intervenes as appropriate\n
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions\n
  • Incorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.\n
  • Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for information\n
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.\n\nAdditional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse\n
