Location : MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick

Bi-weekly Hours : 64.00

Shift : 11pm-7 : 30am; Rotating Weekends & Holidays

All Acute Care Adult Specialty units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring capability.

Primary Patient Population

Inpatient Oncology

Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)

Primary Skills Utilized / learned

ADL’s

Vital Signs and bladder scans

Hospice and palliative care

Time management, critical thinking, delegating

Personnel PCNA’s Will Work With

LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.

Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills.

Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE : Maintaining ODH Registry status as a STNA is optional after employment in this position).

1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
