Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of inpatient rehab experience and strong spine / neuro and memory care skills for a daytime role.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an inpatient rehabilitation unit
  • Day shift position, five 8-hour shifts per week from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM
  • Every third Saturday is required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Potential to float within the specialty as needed
  • Therapists will work with diverse inpatient rehab populations including neurological and memory care cases
  • Holiday coverage is required if scheduled
  • Scrub requirements : black bottoms with red or black tops
  • Team-oriented environment with opportunities to float to other rehabilitation areas within the hospital
  • Return travelers and former staff must meet specific return eligibility criteria
  • One major winter holiday off may be allowed, subject to individual unit policy
  • RTO must be submitted at application and cannot be changed after offer
  • CPI certification may be required as part of compliance

    • Requirements

  • Active state OT license or compact license required at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
  • NBCOT and current AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years' inpatient rehab experience
  • Proven experience in spine / neuro and comprehensive memory care across multiple diagnoses
  • Comfortable floating within scope of specialty
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Two satisfactory professional references from recent employers required
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
