Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT registration, AHA BLS certification, and current MRI imaging experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital MRI department with responsibilities including direct patient care and imaging proceduresFlexible 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, scheduled from 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PMMay be required to float to a nearby sister hospitalCerner is used for EMR charting and documentationPerform MRI exams under the supervision of radiologists, following established protocolsAssist radiologists during procedures and supervise student MRI technologistsProvide patient education and ensure informed consent is obtained when requiredEfficiently utilize imaging equipment and promote cost-effective supply usageComplete annual mandatory in-services and maintain required licensureStrict adherence to hospital and departmental safety guidelines including ALARA principles for radiation safetyFrequent exposure to stressful conditions, possible weekend, holiday, and call work as required by the departmentAll travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year; must take a 30–60 day break before returningTravelers are expected to report to the lab for drug screen within 24 hours of commit and allow at least two weeks for background and screening results\n \n Requirements\n
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA) requiredActive SC or compact state license required if applicableGraduate of an accredited Allied Health education programPrefer experience in cross-sectional anatomy or prior MRI experienceAbility to meet physical demands including frequent standing, lifting, moving patients up to 50 lbs, and exposure to healthcare environment hazardsMust be located more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted\n Benefits\n
