Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with ARRT registration, AHA BLS certification, and current MRI imaging experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital MRI department with responsibilities including direct patient care and imaging procedures
  • Flexible 4-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, scheduled from 7 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM
  • May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
  • Cerner is used for EMR charting and documentation
  • Perform MRI exams under the supervision of radiologists, following established protocols
  • Assist radiologists during procedures and supervise student MRI technologists
  • Provide patient education and ensure informed consent is obtained when required
  • Efficiently utilize imaging equipment and promote cost-effective supply usage
  • Complete annual mandatory in-services and maintain required licensure
  • Strict adherence to hospital and departmental safety guidelines including ALARA principles for radiation safety
  • Frequent exposure to stressful conditions, possible weekend, holiday, and call work as required by the department
  • All travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year; must take a 30–60 day break before returning
  • Travelers are expected to report to the lab for drug screen within 24 hours of commit and allow at least two weeks for background and screening results

  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Active SC or compact state license required if applicable
  • Graduate of an accredited Allied Health education program
  • Prefer experience in cross-sectional anatomy or prior MRI experience
  • Ability to meet physical demands including frequent standing, lifting, moving patients up to 50 lbs, and exposure to healthcare environment hazards
  • Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
