Job Description
A confidential defense / manufacturing facility is seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join its secure production team. This role supports the assembly of precision equipment in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment where quality and security are top priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
Prepare and position parts, fastening with bolts, screws, clips, cements, or other approved methods.
Operate machines and tools such as hydraulic / pneumatic presses, air wrenches, and bonding equipment for force fitting and fastening operations.
Build and prepare wire harnesses through crimping, soldering, pinning, depinning connectors, and labeling.
Inspect completed units to verify alignment, fit, and functionality; record production data accurately.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while complying with all security and quality protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and resolve assembly challenges.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or aerospace / defense environment preferred.
VantageClear certification or equivalent U.S. security clearance is required
Proficiency with hand tools, fasteners, and precision assembly techniques.
Ability to lift heavy components, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
Strong attention to detail, ability to read instructions / diagrams, and effective written / verbal communication skills.
