Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has multiple exciting opportunities for Senior Systems Safety Engineers Software Safety Engineers across various Proprietary Phantom Works / Air Dominance programs in Hazelwood or Berkeley, MO

Here is a phenomenal opportunity to execute development excellence on an exciting, fast-paced, and critically important program in the Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) Phantom Works (PW) and Air Dominance (AD) divisions.

Position Responsibilities

Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions

Perform various analyses and integration activities to optimize total system of systems architecture for Software Safety

Identifies, analyzes, and assesses regulatory and / or contractual compliance of aerospace systems, products and services against the applied development and design assurance standards (MIL-STD-882E, JSSEH, DO-178, DO-254) to provide the necessary hazard mitigation evidence

Analyze software to identify potential failure conditions or investigate reported in-service fleet hazards, risks, and safety concerns

Identifies safety issue systemic root causes and recommends corrective actions using industry best practices (MIL STD-882E)

Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety requirements

Verifies that the system meets or exceeds the defined safety requirements by conducting safety analyses, audits, and reviews

Demonstrates safety hazard risk mitigation and control methods to the customer and regulators

Resolve multi-functional technical issues

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidates will be required to work onsite at the Hazelwood, MO or Berkeley, MO sites.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

7+ years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience)

Experience in System Safety or Software Safety

Experience with software requirements, software design, documentation and configuration control

Experience with software code development and testing

Experience programming C / C++ software for real time embedded systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range : $119,850 - $162,150
