Position Overview
The Commercial Electrical Project Manager / Estimator is a dual-role position responsible for preparing competitive estimates and overseeing the execution of commercial electrical projects. This role requires 5 or more years of experience , a strong background in high-voltage commercial electrical systems , and proficiency in Accubid . You'll be deeply involved in every phase of the project lifecycle—from bid to closeout—ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability.
This is a full-time, onsite position with minimal travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze electrical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Develop accurate estimates using Accubid for labor, materials, and subcontractors
- Prepare and submit competitive bid packages
- Plan and manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and field teams
- Maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation
- Monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders
- Track and report on key project metrics and milestones
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in commercial electrical estimating and project managementProven expertise in high-voltage commercial electrical systemsProficient in Accubid estimating software (required)Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and commercial construction practicesAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong organizational and communication skillsHigh attention to detail with a commitment to qualityProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.)Field experience in commercial electrical installation or supervisionFamiliarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid)Experience in team leadership or mentorship rolesCompensation and Benefits
