  • Unit Details : 11 ER rooms plus 18 hallway beds for high census periods\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, eligible for Connecticut nursing jobs\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience\n
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS\n
  • COVID-19 vaccine and booster (medical / religious exemptions considered)\n
  • Experience with Meditech charting system preferred\n
  • Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1 : 4-5 (subject to census and staffing)\n
  • References and certification documentation required upon submission\n

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages\n
  • Perform triage, rotate assignments, and assume charge nurse duties as needed\n
  • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias\n
  • Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) lines\n
  • Utilize Meditech for accurate charting and clinical documentation\n
  • Respond to a variety of emergency diagnoses, including chest pain, abdominal pain, and orthopedic trauma\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes\n
