Role Overview

The Assistant Nurse Manager is a licensed RN who supports the Nurse Manager in overseeing an acute neuro / medical unit. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership learning , giving the nurse the chance to grow into a full nurse manager role through mentoring and hands-on experience. The position requires balancing direct staff support, patient safety, and performance outcomes, while also participating in budgeting, staffing, and unit operations.
