Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least one year of experience and current ARRT-R and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities
Position is in a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital settingCovers both adult and pediatric patients requiring a wide spectrum of radiology examsDaily census averages 25-30 patients from ED, ICUs, inpatient units, and outpatient referralsDepartment uses 1 Siemens single-plane, 2 Siemens bi-plane, and 1 Cannon bi-plane imaging systemsEPIC EMR is utilized in the departmentNo floating to other units is requiredAssignments available on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts or weekends, based on contractual staffing needsOn-call responsibilities rotate fairly among all technologists—including travelers—based on team sizeHoliday coverage participation required unless approved off in advance13-week contracts with consistent shift and schedule based on agreementPrimary duties include performing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures for diverse inpatient and outpatient populationsSupport provided by dedicated lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging ManagerTeam includes technologists with a broad range of experience from recent grads to long-tenure staffFive-day departmental orientation provided and adjusted to traveler needsScrub color for technologists is blackFree teammate parking is availableDepartment culture emphasizes teamwork and high clinical competencyManager approval required for requested time offFirst-time travelers are accepted for this positionRequirements
Minimum of 1 year experience as an Interventional Radiology TechnologistCurrent ARRT-R and BLS certifications requiredExperience with both adult and pediatric imaging in acute care or trauma settings strongly preferredAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentStrong communication skills and collaborative attitude desiredExperience working with EPIC EMR preferredLicense required if applicableBenefits
