Be our Social Media Coordinator! Share the story of Helping & Healing through compelling posts, community spotlights, and impact highlights. 4-6 hrs / week (virtual).
Health Matters Clinic is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to amplify our mission of advancing health equity across digital platforms. You'll create content that educates, inspires, and connects our community while building awareness of our programs serving underserved populations in Los Angeles.
Your role will include :
- Creating and scheduling posts for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Developing visual content (graphics, photos, short videos) that tells our story
- Highlighting volunteer spotlights, patient success stories, and program impact
- Managing community engagement and responding to comments / messages
- Collaborating with our Community Engagement Manager on campaigns
- Supporting event promotion and volunteer recruitment through social channels
What we're looking for :
Experience managing social media accounts (personal or professional)Skills in content creation using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar toolsUnderstanding of health equity issues and cultural sensitivity in messagingStrong writing skills and ability to adapt tone for different audiencesFamiliarity with social media analytics and engagement metricsAble to commit 4-6 hrs / week for at least 6 months (1 year preferred)Skills We're Looking For :
Proficiency with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platformsContent creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or smartphone apps)Basic photography and video editing skillsUnderstanding of hashtag strategy and social media best practicesExperience with scheduling tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Creator Studio)Bonus : Spanish language skills and experience with health / nonprofit contentCreative storytelling with attention to privacy and HIPAA considerationsImpact : As Social Media Coordinator, you'll be the digital voice of Health Matters Clinic - helping thousands of people discover our services while building a community of supporters who believe in health equity and Helping & Healing.
This is a virtual position with flexible hours, but local volunteers are encouraged to attend events for content creation opportunities.
