Responsibilities

In this role some of your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to :

• Provide customer service coverage, patient registration, and insurance intake.
• Appointment scheduling, insurance verifications, multi-line telephone coverage, data entry, filing protected health information (PHI), referrals / physician orders, point of service collections, and financial estimates, while maintaining quality patient / customer relations.

Qualifications

Experience and education minimum requirements :

Education

High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required

Experience

1 year of medical office / hospital experience required or Successful completion of Medical Terminology class (must be able to provide evidence from a recognized institution of learning) required Admitting, registration, billing, cash collections, and / or third party / insurance payors experience preferred Other Qualifications / Notes

Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call, and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
