Parts Manager
We are seeking an experienced Parts Manager to manage all aspects of our parts inventory operations. Key responsibilities include sourcing parts promptly and timely for projects, securing competitive pricing from aftermarket resources, expediting special order parts timely, maintaining an accurate inventory database, ordering and receiving parts, and delivering professional support to the reconditioning team.
This position is a full-time Monday through Friday, in-office role.
Key Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions :
- Ensure the team promptly sources parts to support ongoing projects, reduce downtime, and meet project deadlines.
- Maintain and regularly update the incoming parts schedule; communicate any delays to the Reconditioning Team.
- Manage specialty part requests and coordinate with Service Writers to ensure accurate same-day ordering.
- Ensure the team thoroughly explores all aftermarket resources to source parts at the most competitive prices.
- Ensure proper min / max stocking levels for routine "stock" parts to avoid delays in the reconditioning process.
- Collaborate with the Recon Manager and Accounting team to maintain appropriate minimum and maximum inventory levels, balancing lead times with inventory holding costs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor representatives; seek new vendor relationships and negotiate favorable pricing and quantity discounts where applicable.
- Follow processes for handling core and return parts.
- Keep the ERP system current by updating parts lists and preferred vendors, including adding new parts as needed.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Skills & Abilities :
Minimum education : High School graduation or equivalent
Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
Part fulfillment experience preferred
Ability to work independently
Must be able to drive a forklift
ERP experience preferred. NetSuite experience an asset.
Microsoft Office experience preferred
