Mechanic

Overview : Triosim Corporation is seeking a driven and experienced mechanic to add to our small dynamic team focused on pump service work, located out of Darlington, SC. The Mechanic must perform skilled work in the disassembly, preparation, cleaning, inspection, assembly, maintenance, and repair of a variety of equipment used in the paper mill industry. Mechanics must employ a high degree of accuracy and precision in performing work according to instructions and specifications. Assignments are received in the form of oral instructions, manuals, blueprints, and by reference to worn or broken parts. This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt, position.

Essential Functions :

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble assemblies and sub-assemblies related to paper machinery using various power and hand tools.
• Measures work carefully by using precision tools such as a micrometer.
• Uses, adjusts, cleans, and stores the tools, machinery, and equipment of the mechanic’s trade.
• Mounts and Dismounts Bearings and assemblies to OEM specifications using power pullers, grease assist, hydraulic nuts, Flux heaters, and occasionally cutting torch.
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Acceptable Experience and Training :

Two years of experience as a skilled mechanic and completion of a recognized apprenticeship program, or four years of experience as a skilled mechanic. Other combinations of experience and education that meet requirements may be substituted.
