AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you'll contribute :

\n \n\n \n

The Clinical Scholar I position is responsible for the supervision and instruction of Nursing students in the clinical (acute care) area. Clinical Scholars develop, design and deliver instruction in clinical courses in collaboration with the course coordinator and review and assist with revision as needed for department policies and procedures. Collaborate with Department Chair and Unit / Campus Leadership to provide an optimal student learning experience to meet course objectives. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Promotes a supportive environment for academic partnership by ensuring appropriate student placement and a positive experience.

Maintains clinical skills as outlined, including completing timely assessments, setting goals, and applying nursing knowledge.

\n \n

Teaches students during their clinical rounds, and pre / post conferences.

\n \n

Supports and enforces the course syllabus in collaboration with the course coordinator.

\n \n

Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator.

\n \n

Grades clinical assignments and reviews evaluations with students.

\n \n\n \n

Qualifications

Bachelor's of Nursing Required

\n \n2 Work Experience Preferred\n \n

Registered Nurse (RN) Required

\n \n

Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required

\n \n

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required

\n \n

Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Required

\n \n

Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) Required

\n \n\n \n
