Cross Country Locums is Seeking a Thoracic Surgeon in Michigan! Please See Details Below :

Open Dates : ASAP - Ongoing

Desired Schedule :

  • 1-2 weeks / month, exact schedule pending
  • Scheduling through December 2023
  • Clinic 1.5 days per week
  • Rounding daily for post-op pts & new consults
  • Call coverage requested for the entire week
  • Elective surgery as scheduled

Reason for Coverage : Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search

Worksite Setting : Outpatient and Inpatient

Scope of Work :

Types of Outpatient Visits :

  • New patient referrals
  • Post-op follow-up
  • Long-term follow-up
  • Tele Visits with Alpena f / u pts

    • Types of Surgeries / Procedures :

  • Thoracoscopy
  • Lobectomy
  • Wedge Resection
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
  • Hiatal Hernia Repair
  • Zenker s Diverticulum Surgery

    • Requirements :

  • ACLS, BLS, fellowship required, IMLC accepted
  • General MyMichigan Health Credentialing Requirements
  • All Medical Schools must be on the California Approved List
  • All Residencies & Fellowships must be ACGME Approved
  • No large malpractice issues
  • Clean NPDB
  • Three professional references that have worked with the provider within 18 months
  • Active MI license, DEA, and CSR
  • Case / patient logs (number varies per specialty)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years

    • EMR / EHR System : Epic
