Italian Village Restaurants is hiring a dedicated Prep Cook for Sotto , a restaurant that is part of a 3-unit historic, family-owned and operated restaurant group.
The Prep Cooks role is to support the chef, sous chef and kitchen team. You’ll be responsible for the pasta preparation, stocking your cooking area with all the essential items and your station’s workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- answer, report, and follow all chef instructions
- set up the station at the beginning of a shift and clean and breakdown the station at the end of the shift
- Perform shift change and / or opening or closing duties
- Work efficiently and independently
- complete required mise en place or prep list in a timely fashion
- maintain food cost goals through proactive awareness of station par levels, food rotation, proper labeling and waste management
- adhere to the recipe and food presentation specifications and portion control
- comply with all safety, sanitation, and nutrition regulations and standards
- maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests
- understand and comply with all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
Qualifications (Required) :
