• Work on A 4 West Adult Med Surg unit with 34 beds
• Day shift patient ratios : 1 : 4-6 patients
• Night shift patient ratios : 1 : 5-7 patients
• Required to attend huddles at 0650 AM shift or 1850 PM shift
• Must clock in no earlier than 0638 or 1838 depending on shift
• Required to clock out and in for meal breaks
• Work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period
• Float to other med surg units and occasionally to the holding Pod of ED
• Perform typical procedures including IV fluids, tube feeds, PEG feedings, and IV antibiotics
• Must have telemetry rhythm capabilities and critical thinking skills
• Must be able to assess med surg level patients and alert appropriate staff when acuity changes
• Work with EMR system Cerner
• Required certifications : BLS
• Preferred certification : ACLS
• Dress code : Navy blue scrubs
