American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a Texas OT license for a weekday hospital assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an inpatient acute care settingDay shift, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, with occasional overtime after 5 : 00pmOccasional weekend coverage may be required13-week contract durationResponsibilities include comprehensive evaluation, program planning, and administration of treatment for all patientsPerforms detailed clinical assessments upon physician referral and develops age-appropriate plans of careAccurately documents all patient treatment and responds effectively to new and changing work assignmentsWorks as a member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality occupational therapy servicesMust submit all required certifications and documentation for consideration\n \n Requirements\n
Current, active Texas Occupational Therapist license (no pending licenses accepted; license required if applicable)Bachelor's degree from an A.O.T.A.-accredited Occupational Therapy program required; Master's degree highly desiredMinimum 2 years of OT experience in a U.S. hospital acute care settingCurrent BLS certification from AHA requiredEffective communication skills, both verbal and written, are requiredCPI certification is mandated by the positionMust provide two manager or supervisor references, with at least one from the most recent employerU.S. Social Security Number required for considerationApplicants must live more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted\n Benefits\n
