Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a Texas OT license for a weekday hospital assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an inpatient acute care setting
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, with occasional overtime after 5 : 00pm
  • Occasional weekend coverage may be required
  • 13-week contract duration
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluation, program planning, and administration of treatment for all patients
  • Performs detailed clinical assessments upon physician referral and develops age-appropriate plans of care
  • Accurately documents all patient treatment and responds effectively to new and changing work assignments
  • Works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality occupational therapy services
  • Must submit all required certifications and documentation for consideration

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Current, active Texas Occupational Therapist license (no pending licenses accepted; license required if applicable)
  • Bachelor's degree from an A.O.T.A.-accredited Occupational Therapy program required; Master's degree highly desired
  • Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a U.S. hospital acute care setting
  • Current BLS certification from AHA required
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
  • CPI certification is mandated by the position
  • Must provide two manager or supervisor references, with at least one from the most recent employer
  • U.S. Social Security Number required for consideration
  • Applicants must live more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted
