We are seeking an experienced Medicaid / Managed Medicaid Billing Manager to join our corporate team. This role oversees all aspects of billing and reimbursement related to Medicaid and Managed Medicaid Organizations. Success in this position requires strong leadership, detailed knowledge of Texas Medicaid regulations, and the ability to maximize reimbursement while maintaining compliance.
Your Impact as a Medicaid / Managed Medicaid Billing Manager
In this role, you will :
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Medicaid and Managed Medicaid billing functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely claim submission to payers.
- Monitor claim rejections, denials, underpayments, and overpayments.
- Maintain billing policies and procedures in compliance with payer regulations.
- Lead, train, and evaluate billing staff to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Partner with revenue cycle, compliance, and finance teams to track KPIs and improve collections.
- Serve as the primary contact for Medicaid audits, inquiries, and appeals.
- Prepare and present reports on billing performance, collections, and denial trends.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce denials and optimize revenue.
What Makes You a Great Fit
We’re seeking someone who :
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, accounting, business, or related field (preferred).Has 3–5+ years of Long Term Care Medicaid billing experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.Possesses in-depth knowledge of Medicaid and Managed Medicaid regulations (Texas Medicaid required).Is experienced with revenue cycle management, claim submission systems, and EHR / EMR platforms (PCC highly preferred).Brings strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrates excellent communication and leadership abilities.Skills & Competencies
Knowledge of payer portals and denial management systems.Ability to train, mentor, and motivate billing staff.Experience managing a large team across multiple locations.Strong attention to detail with a compliance-focused mindset.Proficiency in PCC, Inovalon, and payer portals; familiarity with Simple and Core Care a plus.Benefits (Full-Time)
