Job Purpose
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for leading initiatives across customer and account management, security master, and pricing applications. This role serves as the primary interface between end users, product owners, and the IT organization. The Cloud Engineer will leverage deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud technologies, and business processes to design, implement, and support innovative cloud solutions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering leads, product owners, and enablement teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support for distributed systems, ensuring alignment with business workflows and system requirements.
- Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS managed services, serverless frameworks, and containerization technologies.
- Design and implement REST APIs using Java, SpringBoot, or NodeJS.
- Manage and maintain database solutions, including Oracle and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases.
- Utilize repository management tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket for version control.
- Monitor and support cloud environments using tools like Splunk, Datadog, or Kibana.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and backlog refinement.
- Implement automated testing frameworks (TDD, BDD) and ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Explore and research new technologies to continuously improve the cloud ecosystem and platform capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.6+ years of software development experience with experience in complex architectural projects.Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including ECS, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, S3, ALB, and Route53.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms (ECS, EKS).Proficiency in REST API development using Java, SpringBoot, or NodeJS.Experience with databases including Oracle and NoSQL (DynamoDB).Familiarity with DevOps and CI / CD tools such as Terraform and Jenkins.Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks (JEST, Cucumber, Mocha, Selenium, Istanbul).Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills in agile development environments.Passion for staying current with emerging technologies and best practices in cloud engineering.
