Springfield, IL Nursing Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2450-$2510 Assignment Length : 16 weeks (option to extend) Location : Springfield, Illinois 62781 Facility : Acute Care Hospital – Level I Trauma Center, Magnet Recognized Shift : 5x8-hour day shifts (06 : 45 – 15 : 15), 40 hours / week Weekend Requirement : 1 weekend shift per month On-Call : Approximately 1 per week Scrub Color : Provided Charting System : Cerner Parking : Free with permit Registered Nurse Qualifications Current and active Illinois RN license (or in application process) Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a Level I trauma setting BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross) CNOR and CST certifications preferred Prior travel nursing experience required Must reside at least 50 miles from Springfield, IL facility Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred Flu vaccination required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment OR RN Responsibilities Deliver perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical procedures : general, trauma, neurology, orthopedics, plastics, transplant, urology, and emergency (excluding CV service line) Demonstrate expertise in trauma and emergency management, including code response and fire safety protocols Operate advanced surgical equipment : electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana tables Administer blood products, uphold infection control standards, maintain radiation safety, and manage specimens per protocol Participate in universal protocol (time out) and urinary bladder catheterization Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : IV, PT, RT, radiology, pharmacy, and more Float to other units or affiliate hospitals within your clinical skill set as needed Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and complete required orientation and training modules Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Springfield, Illinois, and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this exceptional Operating Room Registered Nurse job!
