As a Security Officer - Transportation Area Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a transportation-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment for all. Your presence and interaction with the public will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while you remain alert to activity and provide outstanding customer service. Position Type : Full Time Pay Rate : $19.50 / Hour Job Schedule : Day Time Tue 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM Wed 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM Thur 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM Fri 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM Sat 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to individuals at transportation locations by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and address concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
  • Work closely with Allied Universal management and transportation staff to communicate relevant information and coordinate responses as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide assistance to the public and staff.
  • Complete required documentation and reports related to incidents, observations, and daily activities as directed by Allied Universal policies.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Willingness to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
