What you’ll do :

• Perform all required duties to diagnose and correct electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical malfunctions on automated foundry production equipment or machinery.
• Check sequence of machine operation, determining type of machine malfunction, making necessary repairs, readjusting and testing instruments and machinery to manufacturer’s standards, within established limitations.
• Duties include the altering, repairing, adjusting and / or piping of water, air, gas, oil, etc. to meet foundry equipment specifications and / or correct machine malfunctions as required. May be required to generate shop orders.
• Work from shop orders, blueprints, schematics, operational manuals, verbal information, manufacturer’s specifications, etc.
• Detect and correct machine malfunctions and refer questionable cases to proper supervision.
• Locate, issue and record a variety of items such as raw materials, parts, tools and equipment from the maintenance tool crib.
• Operate fork truck as required in performance of job duties.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow standard or prescribed safety regulations.
