Component Engineer

Overview

You will be a Component Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Your responsibilities will include participating in the selection, evaluation, qualification, testing and failure analysis of Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical and Electro-optical (EEE E) Components.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Component Engineer, your responsibilities will include :

• Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met.
• Prepares EEEE Component Source Control Drawings (SCDs), evaluates vendors and analyzes EEEE Component test reports.
• Overseeing Subcontractor EEEE Components, generating / reviewing / approving Non-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPARs) at Parts, Materials and Process Control Board (PMPCB) meetings, reviewing and approving engineering drawings and SCDs, participating / leading PMP issue resolutions and assisting / leading failure analysis under the EEEE Components domain.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely : Part-time Remote Telework : The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
