Clothing Sorter - Full time

SUMMARY

We believe our clothing sorters play an important role within our organization; they are the front line for receiving, inspecting, grading and sorting product. Sorters play a significant part in deciding the quality and quantity of product that is displayed to our valued customers on a daily basis, thereby reducing manpower expenses and creating a more efficient process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties

may be assigned.

• Opens multiple clothing bags / boxes / containers, etc.
• Sorts clothing in a fast and efficient manner into various grades.
• Efficiently and accurately checks clothing items.
• Pushes / pulls / drags or moves clothing to various areas using rolling bins and / or racks.
• Moves and distributes clothing items to the proper location(s); tags bins and / or racks with identifying markers.
• Weekly cleaning, including but not limited to sweeping, wiping, and vacuuming work area.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment within designated work area.
• Performs other essential tasks as required by the Director of Retail Operations or his / her designee.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

High school graduate or equivalent certification preferred. Prefer at least one year of experience working with the developmentally disabled.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Florida driver's license with a safe driver rating.

All around team player, able to work quickly and efficiently at all times.

Highly motivated and positive individual, with a strong sense of urgency and initiative.

Ability to embrace change in support of the ever growing retail business.

Ability to make quick judgment when sorting / grading clothing.

Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with coworkers, management and the public.

Willingness to comply with in-service, training or other mandates.
