About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Must-Have : CERNER experience required; strong Ortho and DaVinci XI robotics experience; ability to circulate and start IVs; knowledge of conscious sedation and craniotomy preferred

Description :

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment.

The shift consists of five 8-hour days.

The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality surgical care.

A patient ratio of 1 : 1 is expected during shifts.

Weekend shifts are required.

The role includes on-call duty requiring four night shifts a month.

These on-call shifts may be scheduled on weekdays or weekends.

The nurse should have experience in various surgical procedures, including orthopedics, urology, general surgery, neurology, and cardiothoracic.

Familiarity with the DaVinci robot in general surgery and robotic procedures is essential.

The candidate will circulate surgeries, start IVs, and assist in emergency procedures as needed.

Experience in a teaching hospital and knowledge of community hospital operations are preferred.

The unit focuses on surgeries such as total joints, spinal fusions, and laparoscopic procedures.
