Responsibilities Work in a high-acuity adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 16-24 beds Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2, occasional 1 : 1 based on acuity, and rare 1 : 3 during downgrades Utilize advanced equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and manage life-support settings Three 12-hour night shifts per week from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Required to work every other or every third weekend based on staffing needs Rotating holiday coverage is required Precepting new staff may be required Primary responsibilities include direct nursing care, monitoring critically ill patients, administering treatments, and assisting with invasive procedures Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain detailed documentation of patient status and all nursing interventions Provide education and emotional support to patients and families Comply with infection control protocols and participate in ongoing training Navy blue scrubs are required Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate subject to facility radius rules COVID-19 vaccination is not currently required Requirements Active MD or compact RN license Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required CRRT experience is required Verification through Nursys and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start Must provide a US Social Security Number and valid US home address Copies of license, certifications, driver’s license, and two separate references must be provided Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628322.
