Position Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of manufacturing operations at Ultra Corpotech Inc., including production, shipping & receiving, assembly, and workforce management. This role ensures safety, quality, and production goals are achieved while maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 standards. The Operations Manager partners closely with Production, Quality, HR, Engineering, and Finance to drive efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Oversee daily production and logistics activities across departments.
Monitor output, productivity, and quality metrics to meet customer demand.
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.

Team Management

Directly manage supervisors and team leads across production and warehouse functions.

Set performance expectations and conduct employee evaluations.

Support workforce planning, training,

Promote accountability, safety, and a culture of teamwork.

Planning & Coordination

Collaborate with Planning and Procurement to manage material flow.

Align staffing and shift schedules with demand requirements.

Review daily production reports and adjust resources as needed.

Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance planning.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.

Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and nonconformances.

Drive corrective action plans and continuous improvement in safety performance.

Financial & Strategic Oversight

Manage operational budgets, including labor and materials.

Identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities.

Provide operational updates and reports to senior leadership.

Contribute to strategic planning for growth and expansion.

Qualifications

Education & Experience :

High School Diploma or GED required; technical coursework in manufacturing preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred.

7+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations roles, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing practices.

Experience managing multi-shift, high-volume operations preferred.

Skills & Competencies :

Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

Ability to analyze data and use ERP / MRP systems.

Proven track record in driving operational performance improvements.

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Ability to foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing floor and office environment with exposure to production equipment.

Requires extended periods of walking, standing, and presence on shop floor.

Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends based on production needs.
