At 1228 Main by Wolfgang Puck , we blend elevated cuisine with warm, refined hospitality to create unforgettable dining experiences. We are looking for a dedicated Front of House Utility to join our service team and play a key role in supporting both our staff and our guests.

About the Role

The FOH Utility ensures smooth service flow by assisting servers and bartenders, maintaining organized and fully stocked service areas, and delivering attentive support to guests. This position is the essential link between front- and back-of-house operations, keeping the dining room running seamlessly while upholding Wolfgang Puck’s standard of excellence.

What You’ll Do

Provide friendly, professional, and timely service to all guests

Deliver food and beverages accurately while maintaining table settings

Assist servers and bartenders by restocking, organizing, and maintaining side stations

Clear and reset tables efficiently to ensure a smooth guest flow

Support event set-up and breakdown, as well as daily dining service

Communicate effectively with the kitchen to ensure accuracy and attention to special requests

Maintain knowledge of menus, beverages, and daily specials to support guest interactions

Perform additional duties as needed to ensure flawless service

What We’re Looking For

At least 2 years of fine dining experience as a runner, expo, or similar role

Strong knowledge of service standards and dining room procedures

A passion for hospitality and teamwork

Ability to multitask, stay organized, and thrive in a high-volume environment

Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset

Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Ability to stand for long periods and lift / carry as required

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, twist at the neck and trunk, bend at the waist and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, reach overhead, above shoulders and horizontally. Employees will use hands to handle objects and tools, and operate service equipment. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 40-pound objects. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employees may use vision to monitor food quality and quantity and may also order supplies, etc.

Work Conditions :   May require evening and weekend hours.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works in an indoor front of restaurant and kitchen environment with exposure to heat from ovens, hot foods and steamers and cleaning chemicals, fumes, equipment, and metal objects. You will usually be based indoors, splitting your time between the front of the restaurant and the kitchen.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud dependent on specific work site and / or equipment operation.
