THE POSITION :
The company is seeking a General Superintendent . This individual will play a pivotal role in delivering $200M+ landmark Federal, and Commercial projects, overseeing large field teams of 50+ professionals , and helping to shape the future of the fastest-growing region within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide executive-level field leadership from preconstruction through final turnover on large-scale commercial and institutional projects.
- Serve as the ultimate authority on jobsite execution, accountable for safety, quality, budget control, schedule performance, and trade partner coordination.
- Partner closely with Project Executives and Project Managers to align field operations with business objectives and client expectations.
- Direct all aspects of daily field management, including manpower, equipment, logistics, subcontractor performance, and sequencing.
- Anticipate and resolve field challenges proactively to maintain momentum on aggressive schedules while upholding uncompromising quality standards.
- Lead by example in cultivating a best-in-class safety culture, ensuring full compliance with company protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Provide constructability insights during design and preconstruction to optimize efficiency, cost, and buildability.
- Act as the primary field representative with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants—building trust and ensuring alignment throughout delivery.
- Mentor and develop assistant superintendents and junior field staff, establishing a high-performing team prepared to lead future projects.
- Ensure rigorous adherence to QA / QC standards, guaranteeing that all project outcomes exceed client expectations.
- Drive buyout support, scope reviews, project mobilization, site logistics, and phasing strategies for complex, multi-building or campus projects.
- Collaborate with safety, scheduling, and VDC teams to implement advanced delivery methods and innovative practices.
- Represent the company as the senior field leader in external forums, reinforcing reputation for excellence and operational discipline.
REQUIREMENTS :
Minimum 5 years of field leadership experience on large federal, commercial, education and / or healthcare projects.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management , Engineering , or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience accepted.Proven track record of leading field teams of superintendents, subcontractors, and trades on fast-paced, high-value projects.Experience participating in client-facing meetings, pursuit strategies, and preconstruction efforts .Contributor to constructability reviews , logistics strategies, and project sequencing.Effective communicator with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.High proficiency with construction scheduling tools (e.g., P6, short-term lookaheads) and field management systems .Strong grasp of site safety management , QA / QC standards, and large-campus coordination.WHY APPLY :
