Registered Nurse - Med Surg | Tele (Nights)\n\nLocation\n\nNot specified\n\nAssignment Duration\n\nThis is a 13-week contract position.\n\nSchedule\n\n12-hour night shifts from 18 : 45 to 07 : 15. Every other weekend and typically 2 out of 3 holidays required.\n\nJob Description\n\nThe Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care in a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit. The position requires proficiency in Epic EMR and a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in a specialty area. The nurse will assist with various medical diagnoses including but not limited to pneumonia, COPD, AKI, and post-operative care for procedures such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy.\n\nResponsibilities\n

• Provide patient care in a Med Surg / Telemetry setting.\n
• Manage nurse-patient ratios of 1 : 6 during the night shift.\n
• Titrate Heparin and Lasix gtt as required, although they are typically non-titrated.\n
• Collaborate with a Charge Nurse, who may take assignments when necessary.\n
• Oversee patient care aides in the unit, managing 8-12 patients per aide.\n
• Use RT equipment including Bipap and stable trach management.\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of overall RN experience.\n
• At least 1 year of experience in a Med Surg or Telemetry specialty.\n
