As a Security Officer - Government Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support a secure environment. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting visitors, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, all while putting people first and acting with integrity. Pay Rate : $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time :

Monday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Tuesday 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Friday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Saturday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

Sunday 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and / or members of the public with directions and general information as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and Allied Universal management during emergency situations and / or investigations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities as required by site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
