  • Build integrations between internal services and external healthcare systems, using industry standards like FHIR and HL7 , with secure communication ( VPNs, TLS, VPC ) and robust authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect , and mutual TLS (mTLS)
  • Implement and maintain data persistence layers in PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
  • Apply secure development practices, including IAM role restrictions, secrets management, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Collaborate with product, implementation, and data teams to translate requirements into reliable, maintainable cloud services.
  • Contribute to containerization and deployment workflows using Docker and GCP-native CI / CD tools.
  • Ensure services meet compliance and security standards such as HIPAA SOC 2 , and HITRUST

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience building and owning production-grade APIs and backend services
  • 6+ months of professional experience deploying containerized services or serverless functions in GCP AWS , or Azure , leveraging cloud-native offerings such as Pub / Sub and Cloud Storage.
  • 6+ months of hands-on experience with Go (Golang) or 4+ years of professional experience with a strongly typed, non–JavaScript language (e.g., C#, Rust).
  • 6+ months of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or 2+ years of experience with any modern relational database (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Docker and cloud deployment pipelines.
  • Understanding of secure networking and API security best practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards ( FHIR HL7 X12

  • What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
  • The chance to make a direct impact on healthcare accessibility and patient advocacy.
