Test Engineer (Mechanical) - USCG FRC PRO

Overview

Insight Technology Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for a Test Engineer (Mechanical) to provide critical support for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Patrol Boat Acquisition Office (CG-9125) Fast Response Cutter (FRC) Project Resident Office in Lockport, Louisiana. This is a Full-Time position contingent on contract award with moderate travel (INCONUS).

Responsibilities

• Performs duties as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) equipment on the USCG Fast Response Cutter (FRC) project.
• Provides detailed knowledge and understanding of all shipboard mechanical systems to identify and record outstanding system discrepancies during the multi-phase construction testing and underway testing in Lockport, Louisiana.
• Details discrepancies, provides mitigation recommendations, and enters information into the Coast Guard test tool program.
• Provides familiarization in the form of training, logistical support and advanced troubleshooting to arriving pre-commissioning Coast Guard crewmembers on the HM&E systems.
• Observes and manages completion of applicable Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) by the contractor for newly constructed vessels.
• Reviews and comments on Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) drawings and technical publications submitted to the government for review / approval.
• Attends FRC builder trials (BTs) for underway testing and evaluations.
• Position requires moderate travel to areas INCONUS to FRC homeports for post-delivery repairs.
