We seek students to participate in our 3-term rotation Packaging Co-op program that will give you real-life opportunities to work on a variety of projects, including Sweetwater Brewery.

Our Packaging team leads all aspects of the development process, from design to manufacturing to project management. Co-ops are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and exciting assignments with brand-name clients. Packaging team co-ops will have a chance to interact with clients at their manufacturing facilities. Projects vary in complexity and provide exposure to a wide range of packaging materials and technologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Bid packages
• Bid evaluations
• Drawing packages
• Specifications
• Prepare and maintain databases
• Assist in project schedule tracking, project accounting, and project status reporting
• Design packaging lines in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit
• Develop flow sheets, package and speed matrices
• Work on complex, automated packaging machinery

Environmental Factors and / or Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, this position requires ordinary ambulatory skills to visit other locations; the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application / form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
