Responsibilities Position is in a 24-bed Thoracic Cardiovascular ICU (TCV ICU) caring for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patients Patient cases include CABG, valve repair / replacement, heart transplant, and lung transplant surgeries Night shifts (4x12 hours, 19 : 00-07 : 00) Every other weekend required Must work at least 2 out of the 3 winter holidays; Christmas RTO is not approved Choice of 36 or 48 hour workweeks Block scheduling is not available Epic EMR experience is required Floating may be required according to facility policy Provide care for post-surgical cardiovascular ICU patients, including those recovering from major heart and lung procedures Must adhere to floating policy as determined by the facility Maximum of 40 hours of RTO allowed per 13-week contract Candidates must disclose any recent background issues prior to assignment Must wait 12 months before returning as a traveler to this system No radius rule is in place for this contract Requirements Active VA or compact RN license; pending VA license accepted at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Previous experience with Epic EMR Two professional references required Must have ability to care for cardiovascular and transplant patient populations Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626234.
