Travel Nursing Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Med / Surg RN Location : Wausau, WI (Medical and Pediatrics / MAP Unit) Duration : 13-week contract (Start : 11 / 24 / 2025 – End : 2 / 21 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM) Hours per Week : Guaranteed 48 hours (overtime after 48 hours) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1990-$2130 Weekend / Holiday : Every other weekend and holiday rotation Charting System : EPIC (required) Scrub Colors : Any color Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Wisconsin RN License (required for Wisconsin nursing jobs) BLS Certification Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg nursing experience (Trauma Level II experience highly preferred) Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing; BSN preferred Proficiency with EPIC charting system Ability to float to all inpatient units as needed Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality clinical care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions : respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious diseases, and acute alcohol withdrawal Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 4-5 during days and 1 : 6-7 during nights Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced hospital environment Independently manage tasks and prioritize patient care throughout the nursing shift Float to other inpatient units as needed Discover your next travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin!
